BIOGRAPHY


Powerful frontman Greig Taylor is one of Scotland’s hardest working musicians and one of the UK’s finest male vocalists.

He built a large following during his time as the lead singer and co-songwriter with award-winning blues band GT’s Boos Band, who in 2016 gained nationally recognised appearances on the acclaimed BBC Four Television documentary ‘UK’s Best Part Time Band’ featuring the legendary Midge Ure as the band’s mentor.

GT has built his career mainly within the blues scene in the UK and was nominated in the 2014 British Blues Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year and has since then released FOUR acclaimed studio albums via his various projects, most recently The Blind Lemon Gators album ‘Gatorville’ (2019) which has been critically acclaimed. Greig also released a solo album with the Greig Taylor Combo, #Songbook1 (2018), which he worked on at the world famous Abbey Road Studios in London.

Greig Taylor is the man behind the 2017 charity single for mental health awareness, the uplifting version of the Bruce Springsteen classic Dancing In The Dark, to raise awareness of the positive mental health benefits of singing, and dancing. All proceeds from the single are
donated to SAMH – the Scottish Association for Mental Health.

In 2018 Greig toured with double-Grammy nominee Earl Thomas with their acclaimed A capella quartet ‘The Gospel According’. ..

In 2021 Greig Taylor will release his FIFTH studio album, ‘The Awakening’
